
Recent study found that one in 10 soldiers, who have returned from Iraq, has mental health issues. It is not easy for these soldiers to spend long time in Iraq, fighting a war on foreign soil. Many soldiers suffer from depression and other mental disorders. The post-traumatic problems are common among the soldiers. Iraq did not present the weather which is suitable for long time exposure. The continued exposer to hostile conditions leads to hyper-attention and it affects the mental health in long term. Almost all the armies have units of psychiatrists who are trained to handle such cases. For some soldiers it takes lesser time to recover from the bad experiences while other take long time to get back to normal life. Some of the problems can lead to serious issues. Many soldiers consider the alternate options once they are back. According to other studies, the disorders can lead to the risks of having dementia. Many soldiers struggle with the changed behavioral patterns as well.
